Twins Abandoned Opposite Big C supermarket in Bang Bung

Police are trying to trace the mother who abandoned her children on a pedestrian footbridge in Bang Bung. The twin baby girls aged about 6 months old were found in a cardboard box that had been left on a pedestrian footbridge opposite Big C supermarket in Bang Bung. The mother had also left some baby formula and baby clothes along with a note

The letter from the mother explained that the children's father had abandoned them and she had no money to support or feed the children and she hoped that a person with a good heart would find the children and take care of them.

The children were taken to Bang Bung hospital for health checks to be carried out. A specialist paediatric nurse at the hospital gave a statement after the examination that the children appeared to be about 6 months old as that could be determined from the stage of teething. They bore no signs of physical injury or abuse but were undernourished and underweight for their age one weighing 5.67Kg with a height of 64 centimeters and the other 5.25Kg and a height of 55 centimeters.

The police meanwhile are trying to trace the parents and are checking with hospitals in the area to find out what women have given birth to twins around 6 months ago. They may not have been born in a hospital so the police are appealing to the general public to come forward with information if they know of any mother with twins of this age live in their community.
