An intrepid reporter takes a walk along Jomtien Beach to take in the scene of what the tourist situation is like during the monsoon season here in Thailand
Today it has been raining all day ever since early morning. It is very windy and the sea is very rough with 2 metre high waves crashing onto the beach. There are a few foreign tourists who brave the elements to sit down and huddle under some of the multitude of empty umbrellas on the beach risking a soaking from the incessant rain showers or take a brief but chilly dip in the high surf
Low season in Pattaya certainly refers to the number of tourists not the height of the waves
