Indian Parasailing Woman Decapitated in Pattaya Bay

Pattaya Police, Pattaya Tourism authorities and the Pattaya Municipal Council now have to face the second boating incident in the last two months involving the death of tourists through contact with boat propellers. At the end of August two Chinese tourists lost their lives and many others were injured after their speedboat returning from Koh Larn flipped

At 11 am on the 2nd of October an initial report was received by Police Captain Kwanchai of the Pattaya Police of a boating accident involving a tourist fatality in Pattaya Bay

A rescue unit was immediately dispatched from the Marine Rescue Center at Bali Hai Pier closely followed by a host of senior police investigating officers

In a tragic para sailing accident an Indian tourist who had descended into the sea from her parachute had been struck by a speedboat propeller and effectively decapitated. The victim was named as Mrs. Shilpi Agarwal, aged 36. Her husband was devastated. The couple were on their honeymoon and had been married for only two weeks
