Norwegian Robbed on Pattaya Beach Road

At 4.30 am on the 11th of September Police Captain Noppadol of the Pattaya Police was called to the scene of a violent robbery on Beach Road opposite the Pattaya Bay Walk

At the scene was the victim 23-year- old Norwegian MR.AUNG PYI NYEIN who was clearly in an intoxicated state and from a bloody mouth and bloody nose had clearly been violently assaulted. Also at the scene was a bottles of beer and flip flops that appear to have been left by the attackers as they fled the scene

The victim said that he was sitting on the beach after a heavy night on the town and was just chilling out. He noticed two men come by and sit near him drinking beer. Then out of the blue the guys got up came over and procedded to rob him. A fight ensued but he was outnumbered pinned down and punched repeatedly. Being a little worse for wear it was fairly easy for the muggers to go through his pockets and steal 6,000 Baht in cash his wallet with credit cards and a mobile phone.

He called for help but the attackers had already made off in the direction of Walking Street. The police had no initial luck in finding the bare footed bandits and will need to study the footage from CCTV cameras mounted all along Beach Road to see if they can be identified and brought to justice. Meanwhile the Norwegian was sobering up and feeling the pain of his wounds which were attended to and then he went with the officers to the Police station to file a report
